The Dad Computer Club's mission is to document and explore all the technology our experienced loved ones leave behind in boxes in the attic or garage after they pass on. Technology, that in their time, was state-of-the-art and coveted by tech-y folks worldwide.
It started after my grandfather passed away leaving behind his most treasured possessions: a lifetime collection of tools, thousands of silver connectors, his 1972 Chevy Nova and a TRS-80. This blog will attempt to explore the TRS-80 and other under-appreciated technology in today's modern world - including gaming systems, multimedia players, computers, software, etc.
The goal is threefold:
- To learn something from using this technology
- To develop new ideas we can build upon
- To teach and inspire others to learn and develop new ideas
If you would like to contribute a post about your old technology, I can invite you to join this blog as an author. Send an email to [email protected] with your idea and a short bio about yourself. I will review each submission and approve only the best, most unique and creative works.
